A discussion board for your community
A discussion about a shared space can get lost in a busy chat. A board gives people a link they can return to when they want to read or add a message.
How to set it up
Create a public board with the community name and a short description of its purpose. Share the link in your existing channels and put the QR code in a shared space.
Topics for a community board
Example content
- Suggestions for a shared area
- Questions about a proposed change
- Comments on community activities
- Updates and replies from organisers
Keep the conversation focused
Explain which topics belong on the board and who manages it. Public messages and replies let people follow the discussion. Likes can show interest, but should not be presented as a formal vote.
Keep personal matters in a suitable channel
Offer admin-only feedback for messages that should stay out of the public discussion. Include a separate contact for account details or urgent issues.
Begin with one topic
This setup is inspired by community governance boards created on Public Boards. Try a specific discussion before opening a broader community wall.
